Why is lice so common?
We get asked this question all the time! The fact of the matter is that where children are congregating, it’s likely that someone has lice in their hair. While we treat all ages, the younger crowd definitely passes lice more easily than older kids and adults. Lice is passed primarily by direct hair to hair contact- think hugs, cuddles, selfies, your little one crawling in your bed in the middle of the night! Lice are very agile when in the hair and can move from host to host quickly- luckily they are NOT very agile once they’re off of a host and they begin to die pretty quickly. At this point, all restrictions are off and we are as close to each other as ever!
