What does lice look like?
Clients frequently have the complete incorrect picture of what lice looks like in their heads (literally and figuratively)! I get so many calls from parents saying they “see white stuff” in their children’s hair.Surprise, Lice isn’t white! Lice eggs, or nits, are teeny, brown, tear drop shaped, and extremely hard to see in the hair which is why they go undetected for so long. I always tell my clients that if lice were bright white they would notice it immediately as opposed to the average 2-3 weeks it takes for an infestation to become apparent. Lice bugs are about the size of a sesame seed when they’re fully grown (so much smaller than people think!) and they have 6 legs- no wings!
