How do you get head lice?

Head lice, although panic inducing are extremely common. They are primarily passed through direct hair to hair contact- contrary to popular belief they are NOT an environmental concern. Lice rarely pass environmentally which means you don’t have to tear your home apart or spend hours doing laundry. We recommend washing and drying linens on hot, and placing your recently used hair brushes and accessories in a bag and freezing overnight. We promise, you really don’t need to do much more unless you have an extreme case of lice- which is something we see only a few times a year! In regard to sharing hats and brushes, yes lice CAN pas that way, but that is also rare.
